Our Dog Training Program

Whether you opt to send your dog to us for a board or train or purchase a private lesson package, our standard dog training programs focus on the following behaviors:


  • On leash obedience (sit, down, stay, come, place, off, and leash manners)
  • Off leash obedience (recall, down, stay)
  • Door manners, how to be calm in the house, crate training
If you’re looking for help with more advanced behavior modification, we also offer dog training programs that cater to the following:
 
  • Leash reactivity, jumping, nipping, chasing
  • Separation anxiety and fearful behavior
  • Aggression

All dog training programs are customizable to your specific training goals. Final prices for all programs are discussed during your initial consultation.

Board and Train

Our board and train program is unlike the typical kennel environment where your dog is pulled out for a quick training session now and then. Your pet stays inside the home and is given individual attention every day. Your dog will have access to enrichment toys, socialization opportunities with well matched playmates (if desired), and ample time outside being a dog.

 

Board and train packages are typically between 3 and 6 weeks long. Pricing and recommended length of program is confirmed after initial consultation with owner.

 

For all board and trains, our consultations will focus on learning about your lifestyle and how your live with your dog, what you’re looking to accomplish, and the best course of action to get you there. We will also discuss your dog’s favorite activities, strengths and weaknesses with training, and your skills as a handler.

 

During your dog’s stay with us, you will receive daily updates from us letting you know how your dog is doing. You will get picture and video updates of your dog’s progress several times a week.

Private Lessons

Our private dog training lesson packages are just as customizable as our board and train programs. We start with an initial consultation to get a feel for you and your dog, as well as your dog training goals. From there, we craft a custom program that begins with scheduling private lessons a few times per week where our trainer will come to you to put our foundation training program on your dog.

 

Once the dog is fluent in the foundation obedience program, we bring the owner and family in to transfer the skills over. The humans often need a lot more practice than the dogs do! Owners are more than welcome to watch training sessions to ensure you are included from the beginning, even before you take over your dog’s leash.

 

Recommended amount of lessons per package will be discussed at your initial consultation. It is possible to book a smaller block of lessons if you’re only looking for help with one or two behaviors.

We regularly look for outside events to support, as well as host our own training events when there is enough interest:

 

  • Fundraisers and adoption events for shelters and rescues
  • Group events at local boutique, mom and pop pet stores
  • Socialization events at public parks and businesses
  • Outdoor group classes for puppies and adult dogs
